That was Barbaras dilemma when she approached Twelve-Step recovery. Her health, her relationships, and her self-respect were all badly poisoned by her addiction to drugs and alcohol. As she desperately reached for the lifeline of recovery, she saw the word God in the Twelve Steps as a slap in the face. Barbara found her way to spirituality without
